To open Settings, press Cmd+, (macOS) or Ctrl+, (Windows), or click your name at the bottom of the sidebar and choose Settings. To leave, click any chat in the sidebar. The theme switch and updates aren’t in Settings. See Appearance and Updates.

Account

Profile holds your answers to the welcome questions from your first sign-in. It’s saved to your Reagent account, so it’s the same on every computer. Save Changes becomes available once you change something. “Profile saved successfully” confirms the save. These account tasks happen outside Settings:
  • Reset your password: click Sign in to Reagent, then Forgot password? on the sign-in page in your browser. Enter your email and click Send reset link, and Reagent emails you a link to set a new password.
    • Email-and-password sign-in only; SSO accounts have no Reagent password.
  • Log out: click your name in the sidebar and choose Log out. This signs you out on all your computers, not only this one.
  • Remove your account: on an Enterprise account, ask your administrator, who arranges removal with Reagent’s team. See Removing Someone’s Access.

Deleting Your Account

You can’t delete your account from the app. Delete it from the web dashboard instead.
This can’t be undone. Any active subscription is cancelled right away, and you lose your remaining credits, including purchased credits.
  1. Go to the Account page of the web dashboard.
  2. Click Delete account.
  3. Type delete my account and click Delete forever.

Endpoint

On Enterprise accounts, Reagent sends your chats to your organization’s AI endpoint instead of Reagent’s own models. This tab is where you change that connection. These settings stay on this computer only. Reagent clears them when you log out or your sign-in session ends, so you enter them again the next time you sign in. Slash commands are prompts you save once and run by typing / and the command’s name in chat. For naming rules and examples, see Slash Commands.

Connectors

Connectors manages the REAPER Bridge, a small Lua script that runs inside REAPER and lets Reagent work on your project. Script Installed only means the Bridge files are in the folder, not that the Bridge is running in REAPER. Installing the files doesn’t start it. Load reagent_bridge.lua into REAPER’s action list once per computer, then run it each time you open REAPER, or start it automatically with the SWS extension (Quick Start). To check that the Bridge is running, ask Reagent “Is REAPER connected?” Reagent also checks each time you send a message: if the Bridge isn’t responding and your request needs REAPER, it tells you to open REAPER and run the Bridge script. Default folder: ~/Library/Application Support/REAPER/Scripts on macOS, %APPDATA%\REAPER\Scripts on Windows.
The tab’s note, Run script every time you re-open REAPER, says to search the action list for reagent_bridge. That search only finds the script after you’ve loaded it once.
Reagent copies the Bridge files every time it starts. When a new Reagent version includes a new Bridge, a Bridge Updated message asks you to restart the Bridge script in REAPER.
Connectors has no Wwise settings. When Wwise Authoring is open on this computer with the Wwise Authoring API (WAAPI) turned on, Reagent finds it on its own when you send a message. See Wwise.

Keyboard Shortcuts

The Shortcuts tab lists the main shortcuts, and you can’t change them. Cmd/Ctrl means Cmd on macOS and Ctrl on Windows. Zoom shortcuts are under Appearance. On Windows, close the window to quit. The Shortcuts tab shows Cmd/Ctrl+Q, but it doesn’t apply there. These keys work when their card, list or field is active. For approval and question cards, see Chat and Permissions.

Appearance

  • Light and dark theme: click the sun or moon button at the top right of the title bar. Until you first click it, Reagent follows your system’s appearance. After that, it keeps your choice on this computer, with no option to go back to following the system.
  • Reduced motion: when your operating system’s reduce-motion setting is on, Reagent turns off or simplifies most animations, such as the wipe when you switch themes.
  • Interface size (macOS): in the View menu, choose Zoom In (Cmd+Plus), Zoom Out (Cmd+Minus) or Actual Size (Cmd+0).

Updates

Reagent keeps itself up to date:
  1. Check. Reagent checks for a new version each time you open it. There’s no manual check button: quit and reopen Reagent to check again.
  2. Download. The update downloads in the background. A small progress ring in the title bar shows how far along it is.
  3. Install. When the download finishes, Reagent shows Update Ready to Install with an Install Now button, and a download-arrow button appears in the title bar (hover it for the version number). Click either to install now. On macOS, Reagent restarts into the new version. On Windows, Reagent closes and its installer finishes the update. If you don’t click either, the update installs when you quit Reagent.
The first time you open Reagent after an update (not after a fresh install), the What’s New window lists the New Features, Improvements and Bug Fixes in every version since the one you had. Click Got it to close it, or the link icon next to the title to open the full changelog.
Updates download from Reagent’s releases on GitHub. On a network that blocks GitHub, Reagent can’t update itself.
The notes come from reaperagent.com. If Reagent can’t load them, the window says “No changelog available.”
