Skills are specialized workflows that combine multiple operations into single commands. They handle complex tasks that would otherwise require many manual steps.

Sound Design

Create Variations

Creates randomized variations of media items for creative sound design or generating similar-sounding alternatives.
Create 3 variations of the selected media items, use unused takes and apply crazy randomization.
What it does:
  • Duplicates the selected item(s)
  • Finds unused takes on same track. Use these if user requested.
  • Applies randomized media item parameters like pitch, position, fade, envelope etc…
  • Optionally aligns variations to the original’s peak, keeping with the same impact/beat points.
  • Creates a region for each new variation to keep things organized
Intensity options: subtle, moderate, or heavy randomization.

Export Items

Renders selected media items to audio files with configurable sample rate, channels, and format.
Export the selected items as 48kHz WAV files in mono.
What it does:
  • Exports selected items to the specified output folder
  • Supports multiple channel configurations (mono, stereo, surround)
  • Checks for duplicate files before overwriting
  • Opens the output folder after rendering

UCS Category Lookup

Finds the best UCS (Universal Category System) category for organizing and naming sounds.
What UCS category should I use for a water splash sound?
What it does:
  • Searches the UCS database (753 categories) for the best match
  • Provides the CatID code for filenames
  • Suggests alternative categories when applicable
  • Shows proper UCS filename format examples
UCS is the industry standard for organizing sound effects libraries.
